Jim, along with a small team of senior colleagues, established Vanguardia in May 2006. Vanguardia are now an established, leading acoustic consultancy with widely-recognised expertise in acoustic design for stadia and large auditoria and event sound management.

Jim’s career in acoustics spans more than 30 years including 14 years as Director of Acoustics for Capita Symonds.

Jim’s presentation will draw on his hands-on experience of projects including Wembley Stadium and the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium. He may also have one or two interesting stories to tell arising from the more than 1000 music events for which he was responsible for sound management and control.

The meeting will be followed by the IOA Midlands Branch AGM which will be extremely brief.  

Attendance is free, no need to book, everyone welcome.  CPD certificates are provided.  As is traditional for IOA Midlands Branch meetings those attending are cordially invited for a meal at a suitable restaurant after the meeting.
