SOUND POWER WORKSHOP, THEORY AND APPLICATIONS WEDNESDAY 14 MARCH 2018 NORTHAMPTON

SOUND POWER WORKSHOP, THEORY AND APPLICATIONS
WEDNESDAY 14 MARCH 2018
FRANKLIN'S GARDENS, NORTHAMPTON RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB, NORTHAMPTON

Promoted by the Measurement and Instrumentation Group this one day meeting provides an opportunity for both the acoustic professional in determining sound power in the field in support of noise control programmes as well as those now responsible for sound power labelling of machines for use in the workplace and the home.

In addition to a review the theory and methods of sound power determination along with the regulations and standards that drive the need for these measurements it also covers new developments and applications.  Practical sessions are included in the programme and delegates are encouraged to bring along their own sound level meters to take part in the measurement exercises.  There will be three parallel measurement projects that delegates can rotate around and contribute results to be included into the sound power computations.
