A series of short presentations, all selected to be interesting within the field of acoustics, will be presented in this event. Topics covered will include rifle fire noise, aircraft noise, Crossrail noise and vibration impacts, stadium PA design, 3D printed acoustic ear simulation, HS2 noise impact assessment and a number of stimulating academic presentations.
Presentations will be delivered at the National Oceanography Centre as well as live-streamed from Salford University, where a similar event will be happening concurrently, organised by the North West Branch of the IOA. Real-time link-up of both events will increase the scope of presentations and the audience reach of the event; possibly an IOA first!
The venue of the National Oceanography Centre places us in one of the most important environmental research locations in the country. Attendees will be treated to a tour of the facilities including the NOC’s robotics laboratory.
This event promises to deliver stimulating insight into recent acoustic developments within a fascinating venue. Industry leaders will be present with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and network with like-minded people.
Support for the event has been provided by Bruel and Kjaer, PC Environmental and NTi Audio. Come and meet these contributors and discuss your shared passion for acoustics.
